Our Wedding

Our Story

Sometimes, love sneaks up on you - over a drink at the right bar on the right night. That’s exactly how Jacqueline, an LA girl who thought she was done with New York dating, met Jonathan, a born-and-bred New Yorker from the Bronx, on July 2, 2021, at Twins on 34th Street. Jac had no plans to talk to anyone that night, but something (call it fate) made her take Jon’s number. From that moment on, they were inseparable. By August 2021, they were official, exchanging their first ‘I love you’s,’ and soon took their first real getaway together to Rhode Island, where, while sipping red wine on the beach with the waves crashing in the background, they both knew this was it. Fast forward to 2023, when they moved in together in Brooklyn, where Jon’s surprisingly large shoe collection and Jac’s wardrobe peacefully share the apartment — made possible by four very necessary closets. On July 2025, Jon finally proposed, catching Jac completely off guard at her parents’ house in Los Angeles during a visit. Happy tears, champagne, and a chorus of “about time!” followed. Now, they’re saying “I do” on January 16, 2027, in Punta Cana, celebrating Jon’s Dominican roots, Jac’s love of the ocean, their shared love of good food, great drinks, and fun, and the lucky coincidence that started it all in a New York bar.
